Carla taught a really cool weaving craft at the meeting today: Micro-Macramé Bracelet. Everyone finished one at the meeting. It utilized only two macramé knots...the lark's head and the double square. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it! Thanks, Carla. I want to make more...phyllis.

April Meeting
The April meeting will be held on Saturday the 19th at the normal (Birchwood Community Center - 5623 TN-60, Birchwood, TN 37308) venue starting at 10. PLEASE NOTE: the room we normally use is not available on that day. We will be in the cafeteria for this meeting. The first hour will be a free-form craft period. Bring a project to work on or just come along and observe/question other members on what they are doing. R&M won't be open prior to the meeting, but there will be a bargain (only for SVH members) offering of a new yarn that will be available - see Steve.
The formal meeting will begin at 11.
On completion of the formal meeting and show and share, there will be a program that will explain some of the differences between the older formats of Handwoven magazines and the current versions of 'projects' that you may have encountered on your Guild Challenge 2025. You will receive a handout that guides you to the different terminology (in different places), the 'parts' that are missing and some tips on 'converting' the project to match your own yarn types to the originals. If you are an overachiever - you know who you are - and have already started/completed the challenge please be prepared to share any of your experiences to date.
