September 19 Guild Meeting
We will meet at the R&M Yarns Studio and have an abbreviated business meeting on September 19th because this will be our first "Natural Dye Party" and will continued on Sunday, September 20th, around 1:00 p.m. (?).
Please see the August Minutes (under "Monthly Minutes" tab above) for details about the Dye Party. There are several important steps one must take if they are planning to participate. It is MANDATORY that you REGISTER with Steve and/or Chris if you plan to dye fiber. Some processes take several days so do not wait until the last minute.
This should be a fun day and hopefully we can enjoy it outdoors! Be sure to wear old clothes or an apron...it could get messy.
If you have questions, please contact Steve (his email address is the August Minutes) or call the R&M Yarns Store.

August 15 Guild Meeting
Our August 15 Guild Meeting will be held at the R&M Yarns Studio beginning with a social time at 9:00 a.m.; meeting to officially begin at 9:30 a.m.
Since our "Dye Party" dates have been changed to September (dates TBA at meeting), our August program will be preparing our skeins of yarn for dyeing. Steve will guide us in this task. If you are planning to attend the two-day "Dye Party," it is very important to attend this meeting. And remember to continue to collect the natural dye plants that are on the list that was distributed earlier this year.
Those that participated in the July meeting that was held at the Crossville Public Library enjoyed a beautiful display of handwovens. Wilma and her associates did a fantastic job of displaying the pieces in very creative ways. Several SVH members participated in this exhibition.
Don't forget to bring any items you've completed for "Show & Share" for inspiration to others.

July 18 Guild Meeting
Our monthly meeting for July will be off-site. We're going to the Art Circle Public Library in Crossville, Tennessee, to view the Handweavers Exhibit. Everyone should plan to meet at the Library at approximately 10:30 a.m. (Eastern Time). Crossville is in the Central Time Zone so it will actually be 9:30 a.m. their time.
We will be having our business meeting there as well and lunch nearby before leaving the area.
If you did not bring your 1st Guild Challenge Mug Rugs to the June meeting, please bring them in July. It's fun to see how each person interprets the Challenge guidelines!
There will be a vehicle leaving R&M Yarns in Georgetown promptly at 9:00 a.m. if anyone wants to carpool. (It's about an 1 hour and 20 minute drive.)
Come join us for a fun day!

January 17th Monthly Meeting
Our first meeting of the new year will be this Saturday, January 17th, at the regular meeting location.
Social Time: 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.
Meeting, Brunch & Program: 9:30 to approx. 12 noon
Program: Katrina will be presenting a very interesting program on woven Baby Wraps.
To celebrate the Guild's 3rd Anniversary, we will kick off the New Year with a "Brunch Meeting" so bring something yummy to share. There is an oven, microwave and refrigerator if needed. Also bring your coffee cups for fresh, brewed coffee.
The Treasurer will be collecting everyone's $20 annual membership dues.
And remember to bring your "Show & Share" items that you've completed. If a project has been giving you "fits," bring that as well. I'll bet someone can help.
