Carrie showed two different complete vests made on her pampa loom and also brought parts of a third 
 

 Sandi showed her 'Harlequin Vest' Mad from individual squares woven on a 4" pin loom from acrylic (with metallic highlights) yarn.  The squares were joined differently front and back.
 

 Danita brought her triangle loom woven shawl in a merino/nylon blend yarn.
 
Sally brought along a woven bag purchased in Guatemala which nicely showed the fringes being finished to make handles - there's a photo in the next section (with Jane who demonstrated fringe twisting) 
 
 
May Program Highlights
A program on 'finishing' techniques which included Steve - Maori edge, Jane - modified seams, plaiting, overhand knots, and twisting, Phyllis - hem stitching, Carla - magic fringe.

Jane needs 8/2 weight yarn - cotton and thin wool twist.  Natural cotton color and wool.  She also has rug wool for sale - lots of colors.  Email for details or if you can help with yarn.

June 16, 2018 Guild Meeting -- Show & Share Items

This first picture is Chris Bindrim modeling a poncho he wove from alpaca using a triangle loom.


This next images are of Sandi Suggs' table runner she wove in waffle weave on her rigid heddle loom.



This scarf was woven on a rigid heddle loom by Phyllis Narus using 6/2 bamboo hand dyed by her daughter, Candee, from Knoxville. She wove it using a very small weft in order to showcase the hand dyed warp.


And finally a set of towels woven by Sandi Suggs on her rigid heddle loom using R&M Yarns new 8/4 Eco-cotton in the warp (it is available in 15 colors), and Peaches and Cream cotton in the weft in assorted colors.
